Hi all, We knew the story, screenplay and dialogue for the film were by Kamal. But, it should be no surprise to you all when I say Kamal was also directing the film as was evident from the film. Yes, the film lacked the usual masala style of K.S.Ravikumar. He has lent his name just to be counted as directing the film. According to one of my friends who acted in the film Dasavatharam though in a small role told me it was Kamal who calling the shots and cuts during the shooting of the film. Ravikumar was roped in by Kamal just to perform the organisational work in the film. So naturally he should have been the assistant director of the film!! It was well known fact that Kamal did same with Sundar C with Anbe Sivam.

One gets awestruck when watching the film. Kamal simply rocks in all the ten characters and the voice modulation for all the characters were precise and amazing. Hats off to Kamal for all his efforts and let us wish him all best for his next film which he himself will direct!!

Reliance MTN Deal to be finished by the next month

The much hyped deal between ADAG group headed by Anil Ambani and MTN based in south africa is expected to be completed by next month, mtn sources told. MTN previously failed to strike a deal with the Bharti group which by then would have created the sixth largest telecom company. After the failure of these talks, Anil has almost managed to convince the MTN shareholders of the benefits arising out of the synergy. As per the deal, Anil Ambani will swapping his shares in Reliance communications for MTN shares, which means post the deal, Anil will be holding a one-third holding in Reliance communications and a 34% holding in MTN. The deal however faced some trouble as Mukesh Ambani raised doubts over the rights of first refusal which according to him belongs to RIL in accordance with the agreements signed between the two brothers when they decided the split. This was however rejected by Anil and he is believed to go to court challenging Mukesh`s claim. Mukesh even went to the extent of informing MTN about his rights and almost stopped the deal. But MTN seem to have full confidence in Anil and further negotiations are on!!

Sarkar Raj - Movie Review

Sarkar Raj, Ram Gopal Verma's sequel to his godfather inspired Sarkar was aggresively promoted as the film brings the Bachchans- father , son and bahu together. The last film has Subash 'Sarkar' Nagre ( Bachchan Sr.) and son shankar(Bachchan Jr.) of the criminal/politician family battle a whole lot of people bent on destroying fiefdom. This film has Nagres battle a new set of villains, it's just that the stakes are higher.

This time coming in to the picture is Anita of Shepard corporation, with a proposal to set up a multi-billion power project in Maharashtra. It means dislocating 40,000 people, which Sarkar does not want to allow, but Shankar thinks the short term loss to these people would mean long term gain for the state. Suddenly, this glum, frowning fellow who speaks through his teeth is a visionary, who is interested only in progress and not in profit.
Opposing Shankar's power project is Somji(Rajesh Sringarpure), the grandson of sarkar's wily mentor Raosaheb(dilip Prabhawalkar.)

Varma simplu reduces everything to gangsterish violence, which is what he does best, why he even pretends to build up and enron-like scenario when it doesn't really matter in the larger picture. odd lighting obscures the faces. The music with its "Govinda Govinda" refrain, and "sam dam dand bhed" is loud and the songs are like those in Balaji soap operas. The performance of AB sr is commendable while the performances of Ab jr. and Aishwarya Rai are passable. Overall the film is just a tribute to the bachchans.

MS Dhoni invited for Euro 2008

Ms Dhoni on Monday received an invite from one of the main sponsors of Euro 2008 to be a guest for one of the matches. In fact, it is more than just an invitation to watch a match.

The hit pair of Vijay and Prabhu Deva are back again this time for Ayngaran Karuna`s Vil after the super hit film Pokkiri. The film also brings together Nayantara and Vijay for the first time as lead pair. The duo had shared screen earlier for the song 'Kodambakkam Area' from the superhit Sivakasi. The photo session for the film was shot at AVM yesterday. The shooting for the film commences from June 6th 2008 at Pazhani. The first schedule will last for a month.

The music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Ravivaraman.

Silambarasan's Kettavan has been in the news right from the day it commenced. When the film’s inaugural function took place the whole Chennai was adorned with a variety of posters surprising the onlookers. But the shooting did not commence following a rift between its producers Baradhan Films and Silambarasan. The actor then turned busy with projects like Kaalai and Silambattam. Industry sources have indicated that Simbu Cine Arts has purchased this project from Baradhan Films. Reports also came in that Radaan TV and UTV have procured the rights to produce this film at a budget of about Rs. 20 crores! So let’s watch out how the film pans out. When will i-phones hit India

There has been a lot of speculation about the possibility of using i-phones in India. So I thought of clearing the air regarding this.

It seems that both Airtel as well as Vodafone will bring the famed iPhone to India in the coming months. Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has recently announced in an official press release last week that it will bring Apple's iPhone to India, Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines this year. Sufficing that - Airtel India has also issued a separate press release stating it will bring the iPhone to India. We all know that SingTel has a stake in Bharti Airtel so the iPhone will be landing to Airtel via SingTel.
Vodafone had already announced last week that it is bringing the iPhone to India later this year, along with nine other countries - Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa, and Turkey. We already have confirmed dates with Telecom Italia announcing its deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Italy in the second half of the year. So we can also expect the iPhone in India too to be available via Vodafone around the same time.

If both Vodafone and Airtel manage to bring the i-phones in India, the situation becomes very interesting especially because of the fact that both the operators will compete for a large pie of the Apple iPhone market and this may subsequently bring down the prices of these multi utility phones. How to dual boot Windows Vista and Linux Ubuntu?

Many a times, Windows users that want to give Ubuntu Linux a try and don't want to give up their Windows system. So in such cases they can always choose to have them both in the same machine.
And this also applies for people that need both Windows and Linux on the same PC for business purposes. A dual boot machine has either multiple hard disks or multiple hard disk partitions, with each partition or drive containing an operating system. Now there are different methods to achieve a correct dual boot system, it's your decision which one you want to give it a try. I will outline two methods to achieve this.

Method 1: The easiest method

You can choose the brand new Ubuntu/Debian Installer for Windows machines. The aim of this installer is to provide an easier way for a Windows user to install Ubuntu Linux without having to know how to repartition the disks or to set up a multiboot system.

Note: With this installer, you can also choose to install Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE desktop) or Xubuntu (Ubuntu with XFCE desktop).

Method 2: The Geek way

1. Make sure your Windows partition is defragmented and backup any important data.

2. Boot from the Ubuntu Desktop CD, double click on the Install icon on the desktop and follow the normal installation instructions. When you arrive at the Partitioning screen, select the option that let's you resize IDE1 master, partition #1 (hda1) and use the free space.

Note: Remember that IDE1 master, partition #1 (hda1) represents the First partition on the First hard drive.

The partitioner will ask you how much space you wish to distribute to Linux partition, just enter the desired amount of space (I recommend around 5-6 GB). Continue with the installation.

3. After the installation is over, reboot the machine and you will be able to select from Windows or Ubuntu at boot time.

Bhootnath movie - Preview

Bhoothnath is the story of a young boy and a ghost. A young Banku (Aman Siddiqui) and Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachchan), a ghost, become friends and help each other in various walks of life. Banku and his family move into a new house unaware of the fact that it is haunted. Bhoothnath, the supernatural resident of the house is possessive about his property and sees the new tenants as intruders.

He tries to scare them away, but eventually ends up becoming friends with the kid. Banku takes it upon himself to uncover the reasons behind Bhoothnath's wandering soul and helps him attain salvation. The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla who play Banku's parents.
